PAST OR PRESENT TENSE?

They say a woman is the mother of all nations and bears the one who leads tomorrow, the one who build and moulds a family. That’s why men love women so much because they remind them of the ones who made sure they were okay from day one. Ija, kana go raya gore ha a go leba o bona mokgalabjwe hela, le gale. Basically a man can’t live without a woman because it will be like losing a ‘mother’ to him. Well, nothing new here.

A friend of mine, Mpho, and I were talking the other day and this issue of men and women’s relationships came up and something triggered in my mind. Her man is so in love with her that he sings the ‘o ka a swa nka go ja theme songs’. Mme, ka go rialo, nna ka re, re le itse le ntse jalo rona! Not like it is a bad thing because we all need love especially during these times of fraudsters. Ba ba ntsi boMzw…Ija, a re ba lese ba o.

Anyway, Mpho told me how her ex-boyfriend is a business rival to her current man, e ke kgang ya Past Tense le Present Tense, either way both men are tense as they are constantly competing for the same very small business market. Ke gore, Mr Present Tense has one that is bigger than ya ga Mr Past Tense. Nnyaya ga ke bue sepe, ke raya market share, ija! So, these guys are in no terms buddies. I mean how could they when the other used to be her lover, especially as the current boyfriend knew about it, owai, o ka thoka?

Mr Present Tense also known as current boyfriend is always winning in business and this has brought out bitterness in Mr Past Tense ka gore o nokilwe mosadi, jaanong o nokiwa business by the same person. Even if he were Hercules himself, he must surely have a limit of tolerance for this amount of go amogiwa ditsagagwe ke mmaba.

Mpho says that her Mr Past Tense is now on a serious CID mission and I was thinking please don’t tell me he is going to kill your man or steal his dog, Spoti. Only to find out that Mr Past Tense is now after Mpho.

So, because it is all getting very tense now between Mr Present Tense and Mr Past Tense, all Mpho is doing is waiting to see what move the first one takes. She is open to anything though, may the best man win. Question is; why do men always try to get at another man by taking their women? What is this, a peacock fight without the colour in the cocks? Mr Biggs is always taking enemies’ girls and so is R.Kelly, tota le mono gae ba Kwasa Kwasa ba a nokana ka gore yo mongwe o kgona go theneka better than the other on stage. Is this the better solution?
